NO, anyone can participate.

NO, SWS events are open to drivers at all levels.
How many results count towards the International Leisure Ranking?
You can participate in as many events as you wish. Only your 6 best results will count towards the International Leisure Ranking
How old do you have to be to participate?
At least 15 years old on the day of the event.
What is SWS?
It is the 1st International Leisure Ranking.
What is the difference between the STAR CUP and the MASTER CUP?
In the STAR CUP category, the karts used are SODI karts fitted with a 2 or 4 stroke engine with a maximum power of 18 hp. In the MASTER CUP category, the karts used must be the latest in the SODI range: the RX 250 with its exceptional performance levels
When can I register for an SWS event?
Year round, depending on the events programmed by the SWS Partner Tracks. The events calendar for each track is updated throughout the year and can be consulted on the website (in the “calendar” section) But before you participate in an event, you must first obtain your free SWS identifier N° (“my account” section)

Do I have to pay to create my account?
NO, your account is created free of charge.
Do I need two identifiers in order to participate in Endurance and Sprint events simultaneously?
NO, a single identifier is sufficient to participate in the events of your choice (Endurance and/or Sprint).
Do I need two identifiers in order to register in both the STAR CUP and MASTER CUP categories?
NO, a single identifier is sufficient to participate in the events of your choice (STAR CUP and/or MASTER CUP).
I have lost my identifier N°, what should I do?
Don’t panic! You can retrieve your identifier N° on your E-mail address by completing the “Loss of identifier” form in the “contacts” section.
Why create an on-line account?
In order to obtain an identifier N°, which you will keep throughout your life as an SWS driver This identifier N° allows you to score points towards the International Leisure Ranking and access your personal space on the internet site. In summary, your identifier N° is your SWS identity.

How do I manage my personal space?
By entering your SWS IDENTIFIER and your PASSWORD in the “CONNECTION” section. Your personal space is managed entirely by you. In it you can download photos, create a link to your blog and say more about yourself as a driver…
What is my personal space?
A space is reserved for each participant on the website www.sodiwseries.com. You have it entirely to yourself; you are its sole administrator. You can thus share your universe and your passions with other SWS members throughout the world.

Participation

Can a company seminar enter an SWS event?
YES, a company seminar can enter an SWS event as long as each driver in a team has an SWS identifier number.
Can I participate in SWS events on tracks other than my home track (1st registration)?
YES, you are free to participate on an SWS event on the track of your choice, irrespective of the country. The only condition is that you register beforehand for the SWS event of your choice.
Can I participate in SWS events with my own kart?
YES, you can participate in SWS events with your own kart but only in the MASTER CUP category and if your kart is a SODI RX 250 in its original version.
Do I need overalls and a helmet?
NO, the SWS partner track is able to kit you out. However, you can also use your own equipment but it must comply with the national requirements in force in the country concerned.
How are SWS races organized?
SWS events are organized by Partner Tracks. The programme for the event is defined by the Partner Track organizing the event. (see list of Partner Tracks in the COMPETITION/TRACK section).

How many drivers must there be in a team in an Endurance event?
A team must consist of a minimum of 2 drivers and a maximum of 6.

What do you win in an SWS event?

It’s up to you to choose your favourite track, the one on which you’re used to driving or the nearest to your home.

Cost

How much does it cost to enter an SWS event?
The entry fees for SWS events are fixed by the Partner Track according to the type of event (SPRINT and/or ENDURANCE), the category (STAR CUP and/or MASTER CUP) and the service proposed.

Ranking

How are points awarded for SODI W SERIES events?
Irrespective of the discipline (SPRINT and/or ENDURANCE) and the category (STAR CUP and/or MASTER CUP) the rule is simple: The higher you are in the ranking and the more participants there are in the event, the more points you win! Your place in the ranking in an SWS event gives you a number of points calculated according to a precise and fair scale: If you win the event, you win 1 000 points + the number of points corresponding to the number of participants. For example, the winner of an event with 30 entrants automatically scores 1000 points + 30 points (number of drivers or teams involved) i.e. 1030 points. The last in an event scores the number of points equivalent to the number of entrants (e.g. the tail-ender in an event with 30 entrants scores 30 points). The intermediate points are automatically calculated according to a precise rule. For example, the 5th in a race with 30 entrants scores 557 points.

SWS International Final

How is the SWS INTERNATIONAL FINAL organized?
The SWS INTERNATIONAL FINAL is organized in a SPRINT format (individual event). SODIKART will supply the equipment (full kart) and the fuel free of charge. Only the transport and accommodation costs will be the drivers’ responsibility.
What equipment is used for the SWS INTERNATIONAL FINAL?
The equipment used for the SWS INTERNATIONAL FINAL will be a SODI RX 250 kart in accordance with the MASTER CUP category. In order to ensure fairness, the equipment will be drawn out of a hat for all finalists and the organizer will calibrate the weight.
What will the winner of the SWS INTERNATIONAL FINAL win?

In order to ensure fairness between drivers, the venue and date will be announced on the site from January 2010.
